We have very sad news; we are sorry to share that our much loved colleague and friend Jill Dye died on 26th September.
Jill supported countless mothers and babies to breastfeed. As well as being a director of Breastfeeding LENS Jill was also involved with La Leche League GB (LLL GB), and Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB). Jill was known to many especially the thousands of health professionals she trained in breastfeeding peer support with LLL GB. She was an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and was coordinator of LCGB for several years. Jill organised many breastfeeding events and conferences for LLL GB, LCGB and LENS. Jill worked tirelessly nationally and internationally to support and promote the rights of mothers and their babies. Few people leave such a rich legacy.
Besides her passion for breastfeeding Jill firmly put her family first. She also enjoyed listening to and playing music, playing bridge and gardening. Here is a link her family have made as a tribute to Jill’s life
We are proud to continue the work with LENS that Jill helped us start.
